Why headlights are dim?

Headlights are vulnerable consumables. Generally speaking, they need to be maintained and replaced every one to two years. Except for the normal aging of the lights, the following five situations will cause the headlights to dim.

Bulbs
Among all the components, the direct core reason for dimming the car lights is bulb aging. The life of the halogen bulb is generally 6 months, plus maintenance can be used for more than 2 years. The life of the HID lamp is generally up to 4-5 years, and the life of the LED is 7-10 years. It is recommended to upgrade the HID bulbs or LED to replace the original car halogen lamp.

Ballast
If the voltage fluctuates, various problems will occur in the car lights, which will directly lead to a decrease in the brightness of the car lights and even the circuit failure.

Lampshade
The aging and yellowing of the lampshade will decrease the headlight brightness. At this time, you can clean the lampshade or replace it with a new one.

Lens aging
The excessive heat of the car lights for a long time will cause the aging of the lens, so the car lights gradually become darker and darker.

Circuit aging
The aging of the circuit or the wire is too thin, increasing the resistance and affecting the power supply. This situation not only affects the operation of the bulb but also causes a fire because of the overheated circuit.
