The human eye has a protective function. When the light is dark, the pupils will dilate, when the light is strong, the pupils will shrink and you will close your eyes. Therefore, when the high beams shine on your eyes, you will protect yourself by narrowing your pupils and closing your eyes. So, there will be no problems with short-term irradiation. But long-term direct exposure can cause damage to the eyes.
